MATRA projects programme

This grants manual offers assistance in applying for grants in the context of the Matra Projects Programme. The aim of the programme is to provide support to civil society and local government in selected countries in Central and Eastern Europe and certain neighbouring countries of the European Union. This manual indicates who is eligible to apply for a grant (section 3.3), which countries fall under the programme (section 3.1) and the selection criteria applied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (section 3.6). Section 3.5 describes the procedure for assessing applications and section 3.4 explains the form in which applications should be submitted.

This manual comprises the formal framework for processing and assessing grant applications. The appendices contain templates for drafting applications and budgets. The manual also gives details on the programme and describes the grant instructions.
