MATRA and human rights

Matra is a programme run by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its aim is to support the process of social transformation in Central and Eastern Europe. It focuses on activities that contribute to the further development of an open, pluralist, democratic society, firmly embedded in the rule of law.

Matra seeks in particular to strengthen the fabric of civil society, stressing the importance of cooperation and interaction between private and public bodies.
