Dutch artist Willem Harbers creates sculptures that juxtapose metal and marble into works that bring together nature and machinery in cold, polished, and futuristic forms. Willem Harbers is a very successful artist with sculptures which reflect the universal search of modern society for depth and meaning, representing the international and creative character of Dutch visual arts by doing so. This exhibition will celebrate the cultural bonds between Turkey and the Netherlands both in conceptual and traditional sense and awareness.

‘To Discuss II’ Discussion with Tanil Bora
Tanıl Bora, one of the co-authors of Boşuna mı Okuduk? [So we studied for nothing?] (İletişim, 2011), will open to discussion his observations and analysis of the “states” of the white collar unemployed in Turkey. He will focus on the recent new dimensions of unemployment, concerning white collar workers in particular, and their forms of self-perception of unemployment.
The discussion will be held in Turkish.

The exhibition marks the first official display of Dutch art in Turkey and will showcase 59 artists, 73 paintings, 18 patterns and 18 objects selected from the Rijksmuseum and from private collections featuring the world’s most leading visual artists. The exhibition will focus on the themes of Villagers, Village Life, City Life, Overseas Power and Trade.
